SEO Analyst

Skullcandy is looking for an SEO Analyst for it’s gaming division, Astro Gaming. This person will be responsible for the execution of SEO strategy for the site and responsible for Astro Gaming KPIs, such as revenue and traffic. This person will report to the Organic Search Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Execute SEO technical analysis and evaluations with the goal to increase revenue, traffic and keywords driving traffic from organic search engine results;
• Perform detailed program reporting, analyzing trends and developing ‘actionable’ insights for the search programs on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Analyze competitor and other industry websites aimed at identifying improvement opportunities.
• Work with the Demand Marketing team to improve overall search marketing efficiency;
• With all projects, work with stakeholders in other departments, including marketing, content and social to ensure SEO requirements are met.
• Work at a granular level with the engineers as they build solutions and help them QA solutions.
• Monitor the results of each SEO release and provide suggestions on future increments as we continually upgrade and improve our products.

Required Experience + Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in business or related degree;
• Minimum two to three years working with SEO projects, including concrete examples of large-scale production work and execution.
• Experience with Omniture Site Catalyst, Omniture Discover, Data Warehouse, SEOmoz tools, Google Webmaster Tools, Bing Webmaster Tools, Google index parameters, various other online tools;
• Deadline driven, passionate, determined to succeed and stay on top of a rapidly changing industry.
• Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes.
• An understanding of search engine technology and the factors that influence crawling, indexation and ranking;
• An understanding of keyword research and how to choose keyword targets that provide the maximum return;
• An understanding of web technologies and their effect on search engines;
• An understanding of how to evaluate links for maximum benefit.
• An understanding of Web Analytics platforms and how to leverage data to support strategy.
